Paybox exists to give American workers trustworthy paycheck math. This policy explains how we create and maintain it.

Purpose

Every calculator and guide must genuinely help a reader understand their pay. We do not publish content solely to attract search traffic.

Sources and accuracy

• Federal tax figures come from IRS Revenue Procedure 2025-32 (irs.gov) and are re-verified when the IRS publishes annual updates.
• FICA figures use the Social Security Administration’s published wage base (ssa.gov).
• State formulas are simplified from each state’s published brackets; simplifications are disclosed on-page.
• Every worked example on the site is computed with the same engine that powers the live calculator, and spot-checked during publishing.

No personalized advice

Our tools estimate based on the inputs you provide. They cannot account for your full tax situation and must not be treated as personalized financial, tax, or legal advice.

Corrections

If you find an error, contact us — we investigate every report and correct verified mistakes promptly, noting the correction date.

Our calculations are independent of advertisers. Advertising does not influence our methodology or results.
